-The Dolphins working out AJ Hawk tells you they have a few players on a short lesh with this roster. Vance Joseph knows Hawk from his Cincinnati days and I am sure he would love to add a veteran linebacker to this group. Adding a veteran player who is on the market AFTER Week 1 is something a lot of teams do. Due to the fact the contract isn’t guaranteed for the remainder of the season and that player can be cut at any time with no financial loss to the organization. If I am Spencer Paysinger I would invest in some cardboard boxes as your time in Miami may be over in the next day or two. If the Dolphins are looking to add linebacker depth and not replace the last linebacker on the roster then recently added WR Justin Hunter should be the one who might be on the way out as the WR depth is deep.

-Another Dolphins player on the hot-seat due to a poor showing Sunday is kicker Andrew Franks. He makes little to no money and is another guy who can be easily let go.  Kickers are a dime a dozen in this league and it is a position Miami could easily change/upgrade without being on the hook for a lot of money. Yes, Robbie Gould is the first name that comes to mind but there are other kickers on the market as well. Kai Forbith and Cody Parkey are two other kickers with experience on the market who could be signed easily. I think Franks gets 1 more week to prove himself but another shaky week and he could be shown the door.
-Jay Ajai is back at practice and in team meetings per head coach Adam Gase. I am not sure he is even the #2 back anymore though. Damien Williams looked very good on the field Sunday and had a big play on the late touchdown drive that put Miami in front. Ajai has a lot of work to do to get out of the doghouse. It will be interesting to see if he is active Sunday and if so how much (or little) he plays.
-For those of you into uniforms it is official now. When Miami travels to Cincinnati Week 4 on a Thursday night the Dolphins will be wearing all Orange and the Bengals will be wearing all white.
