During the NFL Network’s pregame show tonight Mike Florio of NBC Sports had a report that Cowboys back-up QB Tony Romo has a list of teams he would like to play for in 2017. One of the teams on the list is was the Miami Dolphins with the caveat that it depends on how severe Ryan Tannehill’s injury is.
The report said while Dallas would be interested in trading Romo that Romo wants his out-right release so he can sign with any team he would like. Some of the other teams on the list were Denver and Arizona.
Would I put much stock into this report in regards to the Dolphins; no. Tannehill’s injury while not good doesn’t seem like something that will drag over into 2017. Therefore Romo wouldn’t be inclined to come to Miami and sit on the bench here.
