The early reports were incorrect as Adam Gase said today that Ryan Tannehill only has a sprain of the ACL not a tear and he will not need surgery. Tannehill for sure will not play this Saturday night vs the Jets. His availability the remainder of the season is unknown at this time.

Ryan Tannehill tore his ACL today and will be out for the remainder of the season. Matt Moore will have to find a way to lead Miami to at least 2 more victories to secure the Dolphins a playoff spot. An ACL injury is usually on average a 8-10 month injury and one would expect Tannehill should be ready for the start of the 2017 season. More details on the Tannehill injury as they develop.
