Well, it was
not pretty last week but a win is a win. We made Rivers look like a 1st ballot Hall of Famer, Hunter Henry and Keenan Allen could not be covered for most of the game, and we needed their
kicker to miss a Field Goal at the end of the game for the win. My question to you is…
WHO THE HELL CARES? A win is a win is a win and in the NFL, it does not matter how
your wins come by, it just matters that they come and come often! A summary of how
my players to watch last week performed:

Chargers
Offense:
Melvin Gordon (9 carries, 13 yards; 7 catches,
65 yards), Hunter Henry (7 catches, 80 yards),
and Keenan Allen (9 catches, 100 yards).

Chargers
Defense:
Casey Hayward (5 tackles) and Joey Bosa
(5 tackles; 1 TFL)
Dolphins
Offense:
Jay Ajayi (28 carries, 122 yards),
DeVante Parker (4 catches, 85 yards), and Jay
Cutler (24/33, 230 yards, 1 TD).
Dolphins
Defense:
Lawrence Timmons (Well, you know what happened here…) and Reshad Jones
(6 tackles).
Now, let’s
talk Fins vs. Jets.

Offensively,
my two Jets players to watch have to be: Jermaine Kearse and Matt Forte. Forte
has split carries with Bilal Powell, but Forte is averaging nearly 2 more yards
per carry, and his usage should continue to be pretty steady in this contest.
Kearse is standing out as the clear WR1 for the Jets, and if we take him
lightly, he will have a big day. My two Dolphins players to watch are: Jarvis
Landry and Julius Thomas. Last week, Landry was targeted early and often, and I
would like to think this week will be more of the same. Thomas needs to become
a bigger presence in the offense, in order for the team to be a real threat to
the rest of the league. I think this is the week he gets into the end zone, at
least once.

Defensively,
for the Jets, my players to watch are: Jamal Adams and Demario Davis. Adams is
a physical freak, and can have a profound impact on any game he plays in. Davis
has had a very fast start to the year, and is coming off of a game where he had
a combined 14 tackles. For the Fins, my two guys to watch are: Xavien Howard
and William Hayes. Howard needs to continue to become a viable option as our
shut down corner, and I think shutting down Kearse will be a good test for the
young player. Hayes proved to be a big part of containing the Chargers rush
defense, and his ability to continue to do this week in and week out, will be
extremely valuable from week to week.

Prediction: Dolphins
28, Jets 14
. Cutler is going to have a field day, and Ajayi will have another
100 yard day (at least.) Thomas, Landry, and Ajayi will all find the end zone,
and the FINS will move to 2-0.
