the J-E-T-S at halftime and we all thought, “Here we go again.“ However, Jay
Cutler goes down, and here comes Matt “Gunslinger “Moore. It may have just been
me, but it appeared that the entire team was uplifted by having Matt in there.
He provided the spark the team needed, and he was able to orchestrate a
comeback that could serve as a turning point for the season. However, it is
time to turn our attention to Thursday night’s bout against the Baltimore
Ravens Offense: On Paper the Ravens offense does not scare
me in the slightest. Joe Flacco can be baited into mistakes. Their running game
does not feature a “big time back.“ Their wide outs and tight ends, have some
nice players, but not one that puts the fear of god into me. The one aspect
that has me a tad bit nervous is the deep ball threat of Mike Wallace. He still
has elite speed, and can easily create a big play or two. It does look like
though Wallace will miss this week’s game as he was put in the concussion
protocol this past Sunday.
different animal. They have play makers all over the field. CJ Mosley looks
like a guy who will be an All Pro for a very long time, Terrell Suggs and Eric
Weddle are still playing at a very high level, and their secondary has the
ability to make a ton of plays.
Dolphins Offense: Can Matt Moore replicate his 2nd half
performance from the Jets game? Can Kenny Stills and Jarvis Landry duplicate
their performances? What can Jay Ajayi do against any team that is not named
the Jets? Will DeVante Parker play? With these questions looming, this game has
turned into a must watch for this fan. I believe that Moore will struggle,
however, this is a game where Ajayi can break out. Baltimore ranks dead last in
the league against the run, and we need to feed Jay as much as we can to
Dolphins Defense: With the cutting of Byron Maxwell, it
appears that the Fins are all in on their youth at the Cornerback spot, and I
like it. Aside from getting beat twice last week, Cordrea Tankersley looks to be
getting better and better every week. The Dolphins rank 3rd against the rush
and 12th against the pass thus far. I believe that the Defense can continue
that success against the Ravens this week. Be on the lookout for Lawrence
Timmons, William Hayes, and Xavien Howard to have a huge game.
Prediction: Dolphins 31, Ravens 17. The matchup looks really
solid for the Dolphins this week. I know the line is Ravens – 3, but I like the
Fish, in a big way on the road.
GO FINS… NOW AND FOREVER.
