Good Afternoon Dolphins Fans, how are you today? Oh, you ask me how I am doing? Well, I have some reasons to be optimistic about the week. I get to enjoy turkey, and football with my wonderful family tomorrow. There are some great football games coming in the next few days, and I get to be off of work for the rest of the week to watch them. Okay, enough about me. Let’s talk about where our beloved Dolphins stand:

Per ESPN, we stand in third place in the division. We are currently 1 game behind in the race for the 2nd Wild Card spot. I cannot believe I am going to say this, but the season is not lost ( at least as of right now). With 4 straight losses ( 3 of which were on National TV ), we are on the brink of the rest of the season being meaningless. Even with that being said, I am not ready to throw the towel in just yet.

This weekend, we play the Patriots. Yes, we are a 17 point underdog. Our starting QB is in the concussion protocol. We traded away our best running back. Our offensive line is in shambles. Our head coach cannot call a ” decent ” game. Also, our defense has looked atrocious during our 4 game losing streak. Did I get all of that right Fins fans?

I completely understand where fans want us to punt on the rest of the season to land a better draft pick. With Adam Gase, Ndamukong Suh, Jarvis Landry, Kiko Alonso, Cameron Wake as leaders on this team, I do not see that ever happening this late in the season.

So in this fan’s opinion, the state of the Dolphins is up in the air. We have six games left on the schedule: at New England, vs. Broncos, vs. Patriots, at Bills, at Chiefs, and vs. Bills. Is that an easy schedule? Heck no. However, maybe this team realizes that and pushes themselves to play up their competition. I certainly cannot wait to see how they perform in the last 6 games, and I hope you feel the same. GO FINS… NOW AND FOREVER.
