Hold your breath, Dolphins fans.  The Miami Dolphins have ALREADY decided on the starting 5 offensive lineman for the 2018 season.  Did that soak in?  I will type it again.
THE MIAMI DOLPHINS HAVE ALREADY DECIDED ON THE STARTING 5 OFFENSIVE LINEMAN FOR THE 2018 SEASON.

Now I bet you’re thinking “Well Tom, nothing is for sure, because a guy could fall out of favor or injuries happen”.  I am well aware of that.  But this is something that is big.
Let me first run down the starting group before i tell you why I think this is big.

LT- Laremy Tunsil
LG- Josh Sitton
C- Daniel Kilgore
RG- Jesse Davis
RT- Ja’Wuan James

Okay, now on to why this is big?  For the first time in many, many, many moons, the Dolphins now can have a unit that gel’s as one cohesive bunch.  No more battles at LG or RG which has been a turnstile for the Dolphins for near a decade.  Getting Josh Sitton in free agency and Jesse Davis, who played admirably at 3 different spots, locked in puts everyone, including Ryan Tannehill, at ease.
We all know injuries can occur and that can change things up, but with Jim Washburn at the helm on the OL, he didn’t waste any-time naming his starting 5.  That includes the likelihood that Issac Asiata will learn one of the guard spots, someone else will learn behind Jesse Davis, so on and so forth.  Is this offensive line world beaters?  Probably not, but the fact that there are no questions makes it easier to swallow before mandatory camp begins in June.  Come September, if all these guys are healthy, look for improved play from this group.  Keeping Ryan Tannehill upright is the most important thing for the Miami Dolphins in 2018, today’s announcement begins the progress to make sure he stays clean for the most part.  And with that, as fans, is all we can hope for.
