Sept. 9th: vs. Titans

The Dolphins start the season at home against a team coming off a playoff campaign and an offseason where they undoubtedly improved on both sides on the ball, however, they will be adjusting to a new coaching staff and will dealing with a fired-up Hard Rock Stadium. Miami defeated Tennessee last season in a close one and I think they pull off another close game here – The Dolphins defeat the Titans by a field goal 17 – 14|W (1 – 0)

Sept. 16th: at N.Y. Jets

Miami heads up to Met Life early this season to face AFC East rival the New York Jets early this year and most likely will be facing rookie quarterback Sam Darnold, I expect the Dolphins defensive line to be a huge factor in this game and the Miami’s underrated secondary will be the benefactor. I expect an easy victory for the Dolphins in Week 2 – Miami suffocates the Jets 24 – 6|W (2 – 0)

Sept. 23rd: vs. Raiders

Miami come back home to take on the Gruden led Oakland Raiders. Last season, Jay Cutler threw for 300 plus yards, 3 touchdowns against a terrible secondary and almost winning the game – only losing to the Raiders by 3 points (24 – 27). With Tannehill back under center and the offense being more skilled and having a more balanced lineup, I believe the Dolphins take this game this season. Miami starts the year undefeated, beating Oakland 31 – 24|W (3 – 0).

Sept. 30th: at Patriots

A familiar face and never-ending nightmare for the Dolphins as Miami travels to New England to face Belichick and Brady once again. Both teams should be undefeated at this point, but I see the Patriots getting the better of Miami in their first match up of the 2018 season. New England KO’s the Dolphins 38 – 17 |L (3 – 1)

Oct. 7th: at Bengals

The team heads to Cincinnati to face the Bengals and like the Dolphins, you never know what type of team you are going to face any given Sunday when facing Cincy. I believe this the year the Bengals finally implode, and the Coach Marvin Lewis exits stage left – the Dolphins win big in a bounce back game 28 – 14 | W (4 – 1)

Oct. 14th: vs. Bears

The Dolphins return home to face second year quarterback Mitch Trubisky and the Chicago Bears. With a new head coach at the helm and some new weapons on offense, the Bears put up a fight against Miami, but the Dolphins beat Chicago 24 – 17 | W | (5 – 1)

Oct. 21st: vs. Lions

The Lions come down to Miami Gardens to face a surging Dolphins football team who look to continue to it’s run against Detroit, but Matt Stafford and the Lions get the best of the Dolphins defense in this one as Miami falls prey to the Lions 10 – 24 | L (5 – 2)

Oct. 25th (Thursday): at Texans

Dolphins travel to Houston to face the Texans against a healthy JJ Watt lead defense and a returning healthy Deshaun Watson led offense. I believe that, national television, and the Thursday night lights will be too much for Miami as the collapse to the pressure. Dolphins drop two in a row in Houston 20 – 27 | L (5 – 3)

Nov. 4th: vs. N.Y. Jets

The Dolphins return home and the Jets are waiting for them – Sam Darnold has had time to get accustom to the NFL and shake off some rookie jitters but it doesn’t matter in this game, Miami’s defense has its way with the young QB and the Dolphins offense finds it’s groove. Miami sweeps New York 24 – 3 | W (6 – 3)

Nov. 11th: at Packers

The Dolphins travel to Lambeau Field to face Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. I believe this game will be a shoot-out between Rodgers and Tannehill and I believe this will be the game the NFL world considers Ryan Tannehill’s “breakout” game, but the Dolphins still fall short. Miami can’t seal the deal in Lambeau, losing 38 – 42 | L (6 – 4)

 

Nov. 18th: Bye Week

 

Nov. 25th: at Colts

After taking a much needed break at the bye, the Dolphins head to Indianapolis to take on the Colts where they face Andrew Luck and not much else in my opinion. The Dolphins beat down the Colts in Indy 24 – 14 | W (7 ­- 4)

Dec. 2th: vs. Bills

The team returns to Miami to take on the Bills and though Buffalo always gives the Dolphins a good fight, I expect Miami at home against a rookie quarterback to come out on top. The Fins top the Bills 28 – 17 | W (8 – 4)

 

Dec. 9th: vs. Patriots

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick return to the Rock to face the Dolphins and most likely are looking to secure the AFC East at this point of the season with a victory against Miami. New England seems to struggle in Miami and that doesn’t change here. The Dolphins pull off a stunner beating the Patriots by a field goal 24 – 21 | W (9 – 4)

Dec. 16th: at Vikings

The red-hot Dolphins travel up north to face the Minnesota Vikings looking to secure at least one more win at a chance at the AFC Wild Card but the Vikings will too much of tough task for the Dolphins to overcome at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Vikings cool down the Fins hot streak, beating them 17 – 31 | L (9 – 5)

Dec. 23th: vs. Jaguars

The humbled Dolphins return home to face the home state rival Jaguars, who should also be in their own playoff race. I expect a tough and very close contest that will be determined by which team has the better defense… unfortunately that may be the Jags at this time. Jacksonville out last the Dolphins 13 – 17 | L (9 – 6)

Dec. 30th: at Bills

It’s the final game of the season in Buffalo in December, most likely in the snow with the playoffs on the line – how do you think this plays out? I believe the Dolphins will fight but will be deflated losing two straight and the Bills will play spoiler already being eliminated at this point. The Dolphins end the season on a three-game skid, losing to the Bills 14 – 20 | L (9 – 7)
