We will jump in the leaders of the game in a minute but here is what I saw in the Raiders game. The offense and defense both started out very slow. Jordy Nelson had 100 and I wasn’t even done my first round. I was impressed with they were with the play calling in the 2nd half where has this play calling been the last couple years Gase? The” Miami Special” had my fan club erupt when it worked.

Ryan Tannehill lead the team in passing going 17/23 for 289 yards 3 touchdowns, ZERO interceptions, a QBR of 91.7 and a rating of 155.3. That’s just 3 points off the best rating a QB can get. Ryan was sacked just one time for a loss of nine yards. Tannehill has now gone two games with our throwing an interception and has a record of 11-5 under Coach Adam Gase.

Ryan Tannehill also lead the team in rushing with three attempts for 26 yards. I’m going go on a little rant here so bear with me. This is totally unacceptable for the QB to have more rushing yards than your running back. This is one area I think Gase needs to do more in pound the rock. If at first, it isn’t there try again Drake needs more than five carries. As fans, we all expect way more from Drake and I know it’s only three games in the season and it can turn around but I’m just being real here give Drake the ball!

Kenny Stills, Danny Amendola, and Mike Gesicki lead the Dolphins this week with 3 receptions each. Good to see Gesicki get some catches hopefully in the near future he becomes a bigger part of the offense. Albert Wilson lead the team in receiving yards with 74 and had two touchdowns (1 receiving and 1 passing). Wilson was my wildcard going into this season for the offense I’m excited to see how he’s used in the upcoming weeks. Jakeem “Mighty Mouse” Grant lead the way with two receiving touchdowns one from Tannehill and one from Wilson.

Kiko Alonso lead the team in tackles again this week with 15 seven of them were solo tackles. Alonso is playing very well this season and looks to continue that against New England. Vince Taylor, Cam Wake, and Williams Hayes all had one sack each. Unfortunately, Hayes tore his ACL on his sack trying to avoid a roughing the passer call. Something about that rule needs to change people can’t go on hurting them self’s trying to avoid getting a roughing the passer call. Vince Taylor and William Hayes also lead the team with two tackle for loss.

Xavien Howard lead the team in interceptions with two and pass deflections with three. Howard is taking all the right steps to become a shutdown corner. He is quickly making a name for himself in the NFL. Can Howard have another game like he did last season against New England where he picked Tom Brady off twice.

Special teams showed up again this week as Jakeem Grant had 4 kickoff returns for 105 yards averaging 26.3 yards a kickoff. Sanders again didn’t have the opportunity to kick a field goal but did knock in four extra points. The golden left leg of Matt Haack had six punts for 282 yards with an average of47 yards. He had one touchback and three placed inside the twenty-yard line.

This coming week is a big test for the Dolphins when they travel to Massachusetts to take on division rival New England Patriots. Miami hasn’t beat the Patriots in New England since 2008 and Brady hasn’t lost to the Dolphins in Foxboro since 2006. He missed the game in 2008 with a torn ACL. What will it take for Miami to take down the big bad bully of the AFC East and end the losing streak they have in Foxboro?
