The Dolphins are three days away from heading up to New England and putting their undefeated season on the line on the allegedly reeling Patriots. I’m aware that the Dolphins haven’t beaten New England in New England since 2008. I realize that the Patriots have dominated the league for nearly 20 years. I fully understand that though Miami have opened the season with 3 straight victories that none of those wins have been against a team that is considered to be a “good” team. But, this year is different. This year Miami is playing with a swagger that they haven’t played with in many years. This year Miami’s defense is playing with a physicality that they haven’t shown in many moons. This year they are having as much as fun as any team out there and yes, I think I can prove that with real facts just don’t ask me to do that because it would just bore you. All of that might not be enough to beat New England in New England. Fortunately, the Dolphins have a not so secret weapon to help them out and give them an edge, that edge is Danny Amendola.

Former Pats receiver Danny Amendola is on our side now and I like to think that Gase and the boys have strapped him to a chair and injected him with all the truth serum you can buy in Miami, which I imagine is ton, so that they can learn all the insider info there is on how the Patriots conduct their business. I don’t really feel that to be unethical because I’m sure Belichick did the same thing to Larry Izzo, Wes Welker, Sammy Morris, Chris Hogan and others though it was all nonsensical due to Miami being Miami. So, forgive me if I’m alright that Adam Gase tied down Amendola, drugged him and stayed up all night interrogating him looking for info about their line calls, cadences and when they will run one of those i̶l̶l̶e̶g̶a̶l̶ ̶p̶i̶c̶k̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶r̶y̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶k̶n̶o̶w̶s̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶i̶l̶l̶e̶g̶a̶l̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶h̶e̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶t̶r̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶r̶u̶n̶ ̶a̶ ̶c̶r̶o̶s̶s̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶r̶o̶u̶t̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶s̶o̶ ̶h̶a̶p̶p̶e̶n̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶r̶u̶n̶ ̶i̶n̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶d̶e̶f̶e̶n̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶g̶u̶a̶r̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶u̶y̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶ ̶b̶e̶c̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶w̶i̶d̶e̶ ̶o̶p̶e̶n̶ rub routes. They say winning solves everything, so if Miami wins it will of been the proper thing to do.

Maybe Gase could just bring Danny into his office and simply ask him what kind of things the Pats do that you can’t tell on film without the whole truth serum against his will stuff. Sure, I suppose you can go that route. But, if you end up losing and you didn’t extract everything you could out of Amendola by any means necessary can you really say you did everything you could to secure victory? I’m just glad I don’t have to make that decision. Whatever happens, I’m just glad we have this kind of edge and the Patriots don’t. Going to be a fun one on Sunday and it be cool if truth serum was involved in an NFL game.
