This past Sunday was the Dolphins Crucial Catch game and at halftime of Sunday’s game vs the Chicago Bears the Miami Dolphins honored and celebrated cancer fighters and survivors from Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.  Doctors and researchers who have received funds from the annual Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC) were on hand as well as Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross.

The DCC, which is the NFL’s single largest fundraiser, presented a check on Sunday in the amount of $5,079,000 to the team at Sylvester led by Dr. Stephen Nimer M.D. And since 2010 when the DCC was launched the Miami Dolphins Foundation has raised more than $27.5 million in support of Sylvester and to fight cancer. The money that is being raised by the Miami Dolphins through the DCC is saving lives and the smiles of the cancer fighters and survivors on the field this past Sunday is living proof of that.

Registration is open for the DCC IX, scheduled for April 6, 2019.  This will be the ninth year of event that raises funds for innovative cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The DCC donates one hundred percent of the funds that it raises to cancer research at Sylvester. CLICK HERE For more details and how to sign up and participate.
