The Dolphins have reached their bye week (finally, after 2 years), but I do not have any bye weeks with this column.  Last week, I went 2-2 in NCAA and 1-2 in the NFL.  That puts my overall season record against the spread to a combined 35-29-1, still a winning record but still not good enough.  I will help make up for it this week.  Big games all around which means big risks, lets get it right this week.  CFB is up!

Virginia Tech (+6) vs Miami (FL)
I am a HUGE Hurricanes fan.  This team is dreadful.  They also are not a good road team.  Virginia Tech getting 6 at home is a gift from the football gods.  Take the points and run with this close game.
USC @ UCLA OVER 54.5
This bitter rivalry is a shell of what it used to be.  USC has been competitive pretty much all season where UCLA is struggling under Chip Kelly.  UCLA will turn it around, but it wont be this season.  USC should win this game, but this should be a competitive, higher scoring game.
Michigan (-28) vs Indiana
Michigan has been on fire, winners of 9 straight since their opening weekend loss to Notre Dame.  Michigan wins at home by a combined score of  272-74.  Advantage Michigan.  Take the spread in this one.
Washington St (-10.5) vs Arizona- LOCK PICK OF THE WEEK
The spread has moved a full point over the last week in favor or Washington St.  Gardner Minshew should have no problem scoring points on the Wildcats defense, who averages 28 points per game to their opponents.  With this game being at home, Washington St should take care of business.  Take this in a LOCK.

Colts (-2) vs Titans
Andrew Luck has put ALL  the questions about his throwing shoulder in the rear view mirror and is having a terrific season.  The Titans are coming off one of their biggest wins in recent memory, dismantling the Patriots at home.  I just don’t think Mariota can win a shootout against Andrew Luck.  Colts should cover at home.
Jaguars (+5) vs Steelers
Yes, the Jaguars stink.  Yes, the Steelers are very good.  But let’s be clear, Doug Marrone has had his way with Big Ben and the Steelers in both their games last year.  I like the Jaguars to at least stay competitive in this game and cover 5 at home.  I will probably be wrong.
Chiefs @ Rams OVER 63.5
This is the highest over under total in recent memory.  Now that the game has been moved to the Coliseum, I expect a high scoring shootout between these 2 teams.  Don’t expect this to be a defensive blood bath.  Take the OVER.
