It is championship weekend in College football which means the games get very tough to call.  Last week, I went 3-1 raising my record to 27-20-1 and I am hoping to round out the season strong.  In the NFL, my winning streak ended as I went 1-2 last week bringing my record to 17-16

 

Oklahoma is coming off a HUGE win @ West Virginia last weekend to get them a rematch in the Big 12 title game against heated rival Texas.  This game is being played in Texas, in Jerry’s World.  I like Texas to cover here.  I believe what they did in their first match up will cause issues. I find that Oklahoma wins this game outright, but the game should be close.

Ohio St (-14.5) vs Northwestern

Ohio St absolute destroyed Michigan last week.  Northwester is coming into this game winners of 3 straight.  Northwestern has a very good defense, I just don’t see how they are going to slow down Haskins and company.  Ohio St will be punching their ticket to the College Football Playoff, covering 2 touchdowns.

Boise St vs Fresno St UNDER 52.5

These teams met 3 weeks ago, with Boise losing 24-17.  Brett Rypien looks to rebound in this game against a very good Fresno defense, who only gives up 13.5 points per game.  This game screams under, if the first match up was any indication.

Clemson (-27.5) vs Pittsburgh – LOCK PICK OF THE WEEK

Clemson is coming into this game looking to lock in their potential 3rd straight match up with Alabama in the playoffs (would be title game), where Pitt is fortunate enough to play in weak division in the ACC.  Pitt was rocked last week against the Hurricanes.  They should expect the same type of treatment from a Clemson defense who brings the heat.  LOCK!

 

Season Record 27-20-1

Colts (-4) @ Jaguars

Colts are dominating offensively, and the Jags have a suspended running back, their back up taking over behind center and a coach fired.  The Jaguars are a mess, the Colts should take care of this game and cover.

Vikings (+5.5) @ Patriots

Vikings come into this game chasing the Bears in the division.  The Patriots essentially can lock up the division this week with a Dolphins loss and a win here.  The Patriots don’t look like the Patriots right now and I like the Vikings defense to contain them for the most part.  5.5 seems to be a stretch, even in Foxboro.

Dolphins vs Bills OVER 40

It tends to happen when you have two teams who struggle offensively and this game is enticing.  Josh Allen has shown some flashes and Tannehill back under center helped the Dolphins put up 24 last week, even though Gase stopped calling plays to win late.  I expect to see this go over.  This game essentially will lock up second place in the division.
