In what will make the Dolphins-Jets Rivalry even more exciting going forward the NY Jets have hired recently fired Dolphins Head Coach Adam Gase to be their next head coach. Per Jeff Darlington of ESPN it was a phone call from Peyton Manning to Jets CEO Christopher Johnson that swayed the Jets to hire Gase.

Rumors are out there that Gase is bringing in a lot of former assistant coaches who he had with him in Miami like Dowell Loggains and Vance Joseph with him to be his offensive and defensive coordinators. Gase’s time in Miami was a failure and it didn’t end well as players quit on him, he got in a yelling argument with the owner, and he alienated many inside the organization.
