Former Miami Dolphins offensive linemen Bob Kuechenberg has passed away at the age of 71. Kuechenberg was an All-Pro guard for the Dolphins between 1970 and 1983. When Kuechenberg was at Notre Dame he played both on the offensive and defensive line. He was a 4th round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 1969 but quit shortly after training camp and played Semi-Pro football for one season. Kuechenberg then signed with the Miami Dolphins in 1970 and immediately became a starter on their offensive line.

Kuechenberg was 2 time All Pro, made 6 pro bowls, and was a two time Super Bowl Champion. Kuechenberg was very close to making the Pro Football Hal of Fame but always came up a few votes short. At this time there is no word on the cause of his death. We here at DolphinsTalk.com would like to pass along our condolences to the Kuechenberg family.
