Not a chance. You talking at least 2 first round picks. The price is too high.
Not really! Houston gets Tua, the 18th overall pick, and a first round pick the next year. I like the idea of getting Watson..?
The dolphins players are angry because they could have made the playoffs if Flores had benched Tua the remainder of the season like he did Josh Rosen after the Raider’s game. Tua was simply not ready to start. Tua can not take a game over and bail his defense out of a tight when the defense is not playing well.
I think anything is on the table right now. The Texans have made some horrible moves as of late and I could see them making another mistake here. They have JJ Watt now making some noise about getting out of Houston. I think the Dolphins have the capital to get a trade done without overpaying. Also, if Watson wants to come to Miami bad enough, he would work with the Dolphins on the salary.
I have mixed feelings since I like Tua and his potential. Having said that, tradingfor Watson would be an upgrade at the QB position. I would offer Houston a choice of 2 scenarios. Tua and the 3rd and 50th picks, or Tua and the 18th and 35th pick. This way, Miami would still own a 1st and 2nd round pick- and Houston would get a QB in return, plus a 1st and 2nd as well. I wouldn’t sell the farm to get Watson, but I think this would work for both teams.
