Former Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Howard Schellenberger has died at the age of 87. Schellenberger was the Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator from 1970-1972 and again from 1975-1978 under head coach Don Shula.
Howard Schnellenberger has passed away at 87, #FloridaAtlantic announces. Coached Miami to a national title in 1983 and also coached Louisville, Oklahoma, Florida Atlantic and the Baltimore Colts. Went 158-151-3 as a college coach.

Schellenberger left the Dolphins to become the head coach of the Miami Hurricanes as he turned around the Canes football program and brought them national prominence in the early 1980s. His crowning success was coaching the University of Miami to a National Championship in 1983.
