NFL Reporter Dov Kleiman is reporting the Miami Dolphins are signing basketball player Jibri Blount. Jibri is the son of NFL Hall of Fame CB Mel Blount who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and won 4 Super Bowls with them.

Jibri is a former basketball player who is looking to make the switch to football and play Tight End. Blount was the 2020 MEAC Basketball Player of the Year at North Carolina Central and made his announcement in an Instagram post. “Plot twist…I’m in the NFL,” Blount wrote in an Instagram post announcing the signing. “Thank you Miami Dolphins for the opportunity, super excited to get to work.”
Blount is 6’7″ and 230 lbs and has never played a down of college football.
