In the 7th round, the Dolphins went back to addressing the offensive line when they selected Larnel Coleman out of UMASS. Coleman is a little-known under-the-radar player who didn’t get a lot of attention in the pre-draft process. He started 12 games at left tackle in 2020 protecting his quarterback’s blindside. Prior to playing left tackle, Coleman played right tackle for UMASS so he does have some position flexibility which we know the Dolphins like. The Dolphins are very deep at the offensive tackle position with Austin Jackson, Liam Eichenberg, DJ Fluker, Robert Hunt can play OT, and Jesse Davis. Coleman will fight for a back-up role in 2021 and maybe be able to land a spot on the Dolphins practice squad.
