Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting the Miami Dolphins and linebacker Jerome Baker have agreed to terms on a 3 year $39 million contract extension.  With $28.4 million guaranteed.

Baker started 11 games for the Dolphins in 2020 and had 112 tackles (70 solo), 7 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks. He has 11.5-lifetime stats since entering the NFL in 2018. Baker has started 37 of 48 games played as well since being drafted by the Dolphins. In Brian Flores system which is a hybrid 3-4/4-3 Baker has thrived as he is versatile enough to play both inside and outside linebacker. His 7 sacks in 2020 were a career-high in one season for him.

In a media session earlier this week Baker expressed interest in staying with the Dolphins and hoping he had a long-term future with the franchise.
