Super Bowl XXXV champion QB Trent Dilfer tells Rich Eisen if the Miami Dolphins are handling 2nd-year QB Tua Tagovailoa properly or if they should still pursue embattled Texans QB Deshaun Watson again.

He was not handled properly coaches the offensive line he was not put in a situation to win he is a good quarterback they just haven’t given him the right situation around here and oh by the way Miami needs to get rid of Chris Grier and get a better general manager

What has Tua done wrong? every time I get to see (when televised) him play he does really well. I mean I watched Thursdays game and he came out and did well I mean the team won

Most of the QBs in the post Marino era have gone out for injuries, if not ended their careers over them. This points to an ugly truth that everyone in the backoffice knows but no one will admit needs to happen: PUT THE BUDGET ON THE O-LINE. We dont need a new QB or a new coach or a new logo. We need to stop pressure on the backs, especially if we’re going to pick up clearance-priced factory seconds to move the ball (no offense to current or former quarterbacks, but the Fins love a discount on gently-used merchandise). If the office isnt going to switch philosophies, then they had best spend their money on better protection. No one else to blame.
