Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Miami Dolphins are not expected to pursue Legendary quarterback Tom Brady should Brady decide to return and play in the NFL next season. Per Schefter, the Dolphins are committed to Tua as their starting quarterback for the 2023 season.

Brady passed for 4,694 yards, third-most in the NFL for 2022, and also had 25 touchdowns this past season. Tua did miss the better part of six games this past season, and there is a lot of speculation that Miami is looking to move on from him as their starting quarterback, even after Chris Grier stated the day after the playoff loss to Buffalo that Miami will stick with Tua in 2023.

The Dolphins were punished last off-season for tampering with Tom Brady on two different occasions. The punishment cost Miami a first-round draft pick in the 2023 draft and other draft picks in future years.
