NFL Insider has Name to Watch for Dolphins OC
Jonathan Jones, the NFL Insider for CBS Sports, says to keep an eye on Minnesota Vikings passing game coordinator Brian Angelichio as someone that Jeff Hafley may hire as his offensive coordinator.
Hafley has worked with Angelichio off and on for two decades, first at the University of Pittsburgh, then at Rutgers, and later when they were both on the same staff at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns.
Angelicho is 53 years old and has been a tight ends coach in the NFL for many years.
His first NFL job as a tight ends coach came in 2012 with Tampa Bay. Then he moved to Cleveland after that for the same role. After Cleveland, he was in Green Bay for two seasons as their tight ends coach.
Then he was the tight ends coach in Washington and then in Carolina.
And since 2022, he has been the Passing Game coordinator and tight ends coach for the Minnesota Vikings.

There have been other names linked to Miami’s offensive coordinator position, such as Steve Shimko, the Dallas Cowboys’ current quarterbacks coach.
Shimko was also the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator under Jeff Hafley when Hafley was the head coach at Boston College.
With Hafley accepting this position late Monday afternoon, I would expect we will start to hear about staff additions and hirings over the course of the next couple of weeks, most likely.
No word if Hafley will retain and keep anyone from last season’s Miami Dolphins staff that was hired by Mike McDaniel.
Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley are meeting with the media on Thursday at 11 a.m. Eastern for an introductory press conference.
