REPORT: Dolphins to Host CB Prospect for Top 30 visit Monday Night
As DolphinsTalk owner Mike Oliva pointed out in a separate article recently, if Storm Duck is your best cornerback, you have a problem and a lot of room for improvement at the position, and that’s where the Miami Dolphins are at right now. Cornerback is just one of the Dolphins’ several positions of need with the 2026 NFL Draft quickly approaching, so fans should be happy to see that they are set to host an auspicious young cornerback for a Top 30 visit on Monday night and Tuesday.
NFL Network’s insider Ian Rapoport reported recently that the Dolphins will soon sit down with former Louisiana State University cornerback Mansoor Delane for a visit. Miami isn’t the only team he’ll meet with this week, though, as he has a visit with the New York Giants scheduled for Wednesday into Thursday to boot.

Delane is believed by many to be among the preeminent cornerbacks in his draft class and a potential first-round pick. Fortunately, the Dolphins have two first-round picks in the upcoming draft at No. 11 and No. 30, the latter pick they acquired in the Jaylen Waddle deal with the Denver Broncos. So, chances are they’ll have at least one chance to pick him.
The Maryland native boasts impressive physical tools for a secondary player, as he stands at around six feet tall and made headlines for the speed he showed off during his Pro Day. Impressively, he ran the 40-yard-dash in just 4.38 seconds and should have no trouble sticking with even the speediest receivers at the highest level.
Delane suited up in 11 games in 2025 for an underperforming LSU team, totaling 45 combined tackles and 2 interceptions while defending 11 passes in his swan song in college football. He earned an All-American nod in his lone campaign with the Fighting Tigers as a result. Maybe he will officially be a member of the Dolphins not long after his standout senior season.
