Finally hit a perfect NFL weekend with a 3-0 record. I went 2-2 in CFB (Hurricanes offense finally showed up). So on the season, I am a combined 40-33-1. It is rivalry week in CFB which makes these picks very interesting. No big marquee NFL games to speak of, but hoping for a 6-0 weekend. Here we go!
Georgia vs Georgia Tech OVER 59
In a huge game at home for Georgia, their run defense needs to be stout against the triple option attack of Georgia Tech. I didn’t like the 15.5 point spread in this game as Tech has the ability to win, putting defenses to sleep with their approach. I see this game going over 59, which should feature plenty of points.
Syracuse (+6.5) @ Boston College
Syracuse laid an egg last week against the Irish. I think they get a rebound game this week and at least cover the 6.5 spread. Boston College losing to FSU last week has me believing this is a possibility. Take Syracuse with the near touchdown. Tease it to 7 if you need to.
Ohio St vs Michigan UNDER 52.5
In a HUGE game for both teams, I can see this becoming a slug fest. Both offenses can put up plenty of points, but I believe jitters may get the best of both teams early to drive the score down in the first half (maybe 13-10?). I like the under here, with both teams playing for a spot in the Big 10 title game. Also a huge game for Dwayne Haskins that may have him leaning towards the NFL with a great showing.
Kentucky (-16.5) @ Louisville- LOCK PICK OF THE WEEK
In what world would I be typing this? Kentucky has hit their groove this season at 8-3 and Lousiville has fallen off big time and fired Petrino. This has the makings to be a blowout in favor of Kentucky. This is a LOCK!
Season Record 24-19-1
Patriots (-10) @ Jets
Both teams are coming off a bye week, in which one team is preparing for a playoff run and the other is falling apart at the seams. The Jets will likely be without Sam Darnold and McCown looked awful against the Bills 2 weeks ago. Patriots should run away with this in the first quarter.
Jaguars @ Bills UNDER 37
I think this game should only be shown in torture sessions. Josh Allen is back for the Bills but he wasn’t putting up point prior to his injury. The Jags blew a 16 point lead to the Steelers last week with the game in hand. Will the defenses score more points than the offenses in this? Highlight of this game: Is Ramsey going to get the best of Allen or vise versa? This should go under with 2 really bad offenses and good defenses.
Raiders (+10.5) @ Baltimore
I like Lamar Jackson, but I didn’t see enough in the passing game to say they can put up big points. The Raiders found a way to win last week even with all the craziness between Gruden and Carr. I can see them covering in this one.
