It’s Sunday and the Dolphins are at home on Sunday Night Football vs the Pittsburgh Steelers. Miami comes in at 3-3 while Pittsburgh is 2-4 entering the matchup. Both teams have their fair share of injuries entering the game, but Miami has great news as Tua is back under center at quarterback.

Here are my three keys for a Dolphins victory tonight.

Protect Tua: Needless to say all Dolphins fans and NFL fans are happy to see Tua back on the field but we are all nervous in hoping we don’t see him suffer another concussion. For that to happen the offensive line must play better than it has in recent weeks. Terron Armstead is expected to be back (although that is not official at the time of this writing.) Austin Jackson is still out and will miss the game and it is expected Greg Little will slide over and play the right tackle position. Connor Williams has been Miami’s most consistent offensive lineman this year but Robert Hunt and Liam Eichenberg must play better at guard.

Run the football: A quarterback’s best friend is a solid running game and Miami must run the ball well this game and do so for all four quarters. Coach McDaniel cannot give up on the run after only a few quarters as he has in previous weeks. Raheem Mostert has emerged as the lead running back for the Fins in recent weeks and I would expect Miami to give him a heavy dose of the work.

Bring Pressure: Kenny Pickett is a rookie quarterback and rookie quarterbacks can be rattled. I expect to see Josh Boyer bring a lot of pressure and a plethora of blitzes to confuse Pickett. The Steelers’ offensive line is nothing to write home about and I don’t think Miami should have issues getting to the quarterback tonight.
