Jeremy Fowler of ESPN is reporting how Steelers backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky may be let go by the Pittsburgh Steelers in a cap-saving move, and if so, a good fit for him would be the Miami Dolphins as the Dolphins need a more stable backup quarterback in light of Tua and his concussion history. Per Fowler: Trubisky is a name to watch in the coming weeks. The Steelers would like to keep him, but his $8 million salary on a $10.6 million cap hit is steeper than usual for a Pittsburgh backup. Miami could be a good fit for him, as the Dolphins need a capable veteran behind Tua Tagovailoa in case concussion issues persist.”

Trubisky has started 55 of 64 NFL games, he is 31-24 in those starts and has thrown 68 touchdowns to 43 interceptions. This past season in Pittsburgh, Trubisky started 7 games, he threw 4 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.
