Dolphins RB Arian Foster has retired from professional football effective immediately. Foster is saying his body can’t keep up anymore and he is stepping away from the game. Foster is telling people he can’t handle another rehab even if its for a minor injury as the main reason for his retirement. It makes you wonder if Foster was re-injured during Sunday’s game vs Buffalo and has decided to walk away rather than go through a rehab and rush to get back on the field.

With the emergence of Jay Ajayi this move doesn’t hurt the Dolphins short term or long-term. Short term this is the Jay Ajayi show right now. He has back to back 200 yard games and is looking like a top notch NFL running back these days. With Damien Williams coming on as well and playing well as a back-up and 3rd down back role Foster was essentially a 3rd string running back on this team. Kenyan Drake who has played poorly on special teams and poorly at RB will now see some increased snaps at RB as the Fins 3rd down running back.
