The Miami Dolphins have traded for OLB Bradley Chubb. Per Adam Schefter they gave up the 2023 1st round pick they acquired from San Francisco. The Dolphins gave up a 2023 1st round pick, running back Chase Edmonds, and a 2024 4th round pick for Chubb and a 2025 5th round pick. This leaves the only back-ups to Raheem Mostert as Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed unless Miami makes another move prior to 4pm eastern.
Chubb has only played a full season once in his career (as a rookie) and has 26 career sacks in 49 games. In 2021 Chubb had zero sacks in 7 games. This year through 8 games he has 5.5 sacks. Given that Miami gave up a 1st round pick it is assumed Miami also agreed to terms on a long term deal with Chubb and a new contract. UPDATE: Adam Schefter is reporting Miami has agreed to a long-term deal with Chubb.
