The NFL Trade Deadline has come and gone and the Miami Dolphins did not make any trades but there was some big news on the potential trade for Deshaun Watson to the Dolphins. It was reported that the Miami Dolphins and owner Stephen Ross were seeking permission to talk to Watson and they were granted permission on Monday evening and Ross had a phone call with Watson about a possible trade. What does this mean moving forward for the Dolphins, a potential Watson to Miami trade in March, and for Tua’s future in Miami beyond this season? Mike breaks it all down on this Breaking News Audio at DolphinsTalk.com.

I am glad we did not make that trade for Watson now. We are not going to the playoffs this year with or without Watson. I still want to know if Tua is a winning pro quarterback. Watson will be available in the off season and we will have a better understanding of his legal issues. After the season we have a better understanding what kind of quarterback Tua is.
Miami needs a QB that can throw a pass more than 10 feet in the centre. If Watson only was given permission to talk to Miami on the night before the trade, then that shows that the story is a beat-up. There is no happy ending with Watson with all the lawsuits and potential criminal charges. With both these players, we are still suffering. The outcome is the same no matter which of these players we choose. That is, we are building a team around a franchise qb with issues and weaknesses. It does not make for a winning outcome. It’s just dumb.
